Teambuilding that surprises — and makes a real difference at work.
Better team communication through improv workshops.
Clearer exchange, stronger collaboration, faster decisions.
Often felt after just one day.
Not your typical team building — but training for real work situations.
Sound familiar?
The calendar invite lands: "Team Building Workshop". A collective sigh. Escape room, cooking class, yet another event that's supposed to "strengthen team cohesion".
None of that is wrong. But often little remains afterwards — apart from a few photos and the feeling: nice, but no real impact on day-to-day work.
In our workshops, real interaction happens: teams try things out, respond to each other and experience what collaboration actually feels like — and usually laugh more than they expected.
Better team communication through improv workshops
Improv works directly on what teams need in everyday work:
- listening and understanding
- responding quickly
- developing solutions together
- communicating confidently — even under pressure
Instead of one-off events, real changes emerge in the way teams work together — directly applicable in everyday work life.
What our clients say
As a multinational company with a demanding audience, we were very impressed. Albert takes a relaxed, motivating approach — and pushed us out of our comfort zone in the best possible way. We highly recommend Expat Improv
— Leadership training, AccentureThe exercises have had a lasting impact on our team meetings. A colleague who started out grumpy became an open and engaged participant. Another said he hadn't laughed that much in a long time.
— Team meeting, Redcare PharmacyOur formats
All workshops are tailored to the specific objectives, team size and circumstances. Typical formats include:
Team Building with Improv
The classic — and always surprisingly effective. Teams experience genuine listening, spontaneous responses and creating together. No performance pressure — just concrete impulses for everyday collaboration and plenty of shared laughter.
Communication & Collaboration
For teams who want to strengthen their communication — in everyday work, meetings or client interactions. The "Yes, and" principle becomes a concrete mindset for constructive collaboration.
Stage Presence for Leaders
For anyone who wants to present with confidence — in presentations, meetings or difficult conversations. Train your voice, body language and presence intentionally. Stay authentic — just clearer and more impactful.
Improv Show as Entertainment
For company parties, kick-offs and conferences. An interactive improv show energises events, actively involves the audience and creates shared moments that people remember long afterwards.
Small groups — big impact
We deliberately work in small groups per trainer. For larger teams we scale with multiple trainers — keeping the collaboration intensive and everyone actively involved.
Using mistakes as a resource
Mistakes are not avoided — they are embraced. As a starting point for better ideas, more trust and faster collaboration within the team.
How a workshop works
Every workshop is prepared individually. The process follows a clear, tried-and-tested structure:
A short introductory call — we clarify goals, team structure and challenges.
- interactive improv exercises
- direct connection to everyday work situations
- active involvement of all participants
Shared reflection and application to concrete everyday situations.
Improved communication and collaboration that stays with the team in everyday work.

Why improv workshops work in a business context
Improvisation may look playful at first glance. In practice, it trains exactly the skills that matter most in everyday work: listening, responding clearly and developing solutions together — under real conditions.
Communication that works in everyday life
In improv exercises, teams learn to truly listen rather than just waiting for their turn to speak. This creates a noticeable shift in meetings, feedback conversations and team decisions: ideas are picked up, developed further and communicated more clearly.
Collaboration under pressure
Improv puts teams in situations where a quick response is required. Without perfect preparation, collaboration happens in real time. This builds trust and improves how teams handle uncertainty in project work.
Flexibility as a real skill
Change rarely fails because of strategy — it fails because of behaviour. Improv training makes uncertainty tangible and trainable. Teams learn to respond flexibly and engage constructively with new situations.
All content transfers directly to everyday work — practical, in German or English, for small teams to large groups.
Typical use cases:
Team development · Onboarding · Leadership training · Change processes

Frequently asked questions about improv workshops for teams and companies
Got questions about the process, content or costs? Here you'll find the most important answers to our business and corporate workshops — anything else we're happy to discuss personally.
Applied improvisation in a business context means using improv-based methods to strengthen collaboration, communication and flexibility within teams. Participants learn to respond spontaneously, communicate openly, and handle change, uncertainty and mistakes more constructively.
What works on stage also works in everyday professional life: listening actively, responding quickly and thinking forward together. The "Yes, and" principle creates a way of working together where ideas are picked up and developed further.
Traditional team building — escape rooms, cooking classes, sports events — is fun, but often leaves little lasting impact on day-to-day work. Improv training works directly on what teams actually need on the job: genuine listening, quick responses, and developing solutions together. The exercises are playful, but the effects — more trust, clearer communication, better handling of pressure — show up directly in everyday collaboration.
For project teams, leadership groups, sales teams, departments after reorganisation, new teams in onboarding — and for anyone who wants to experience collaboration in a new way. Also suitable for mixed groups with different backgrounds and levels of experience.
Yes. The exercises are designed so that everyone can participate — regardless of personality or experience. It's not about being loud or extroverted. Quite the opposite: good listeners and quieter personalities often bring the strongest contributions. The atmosphere is safe and supportive — and there will be plenty of shared laughter. And that, more often than not, brings people together more than anything else.
Improv training in a business context can cover a wide range of topics depending on your goals and team:
- Building team dynamics and trust
- Communication under time pressure and in motion
- Activating out-of-the-box thinking
- Developing ideas together ("Yes, and" brainstorming)
- Experiencing mistakes as learning opportunities
- Dealing with the pressure to be perfect
- Agile, spontaneous thinking and action
- Building change competence and adaptability
- Customer communication and presence
- Leadership with openness and at eye level
Content is tailored individually to the target group and occasion.
All participants are actively involved — not as observers, but through direct hands-on practice. We work with many short exercises in which every person takes part.
For maximum intensity we prefer working with 8 to 16 people per trainer. Larger teams are split into multiple groups with their own trainers — so collaboration stays active and everyone is involved.
At your premises, at our studio in Düsseldorf-Unterbilk, or at a location of your choice — anywhere in Germany, and internationally on request. All that's needed is an open space with room to move. No projector, no tables required.
Yes. All formats are also available in German, or a combination of both — ideal for international and mixed-language teams.
