Your Improv Trainer
Albert Schimmel
Albert Schimmel is a theatre educator, actor and improv artist with many years of stage experience.
He is the founder of EXPAT IMPROV, SPONTAN THEATER® and the international improv ensemble Impromix. His focus lies in improvisational theatre, mask play and ensemble work.
Alongside his artistic work, he has founded several companies and brings extensive experience working with people, teams and organisations.
In his courses he combines artistic practice with a sense of playfulness and clear, supportive guidance. He has introduced over a thousand people to the world of improvisation.
Lorenzo Biancotti (Lolo)
Lolo is an improvisational actor and improvisation trainer born in Italy. He performs regularly on stage — in numerous shows and various formats, from shortform to longform. As a member of the Impromix ensemble, he brings what improvisation truly needs: experience, intuition and a genuine feel for the stage.
In his workshops, he emphasises the joy of performing, confidence in one’s own ideas and a supportive atmosphere on stage. Through practical exercises and clear instructions, he guides participants to react spontaneously, develop scenes together and discover their creative potential.
It’s a great and fun experience taking part in Expat Improv. As a newbie, I value the safe, easygoing and non-judgemental atmosphere that Albert creates; it’s easy to feel comfortable and get into the experience. He creates fun and dynamic pair and group activities that inspire creativity, spontaneity and teamwork. And another big plus is the great people who also take part. 🙂
Wonderful and engaging. I took the entry level workshop here on a Friday and met some great people. I cannot recommend more to anyone interested in improv, or comedy, or acting, or just wants to play games and nurture their inner child
