Strong characters are born the moment your foot hits the floor — not the moment you start to “think”. This masterclass is all about organically unfolding a character from that very first step. More being, less thinking!

You’ll sharpen your ability to spot the game of a scene and squeeze everything out of it. Every exercise is designed to identify the premise, celebrate one central game, and attack it as an ensemble. Give your play the boost it needs.

About Christian Capozzoli

Christian is a performer, director and teacher — internationally recognised as one of the best improv minds in the world. He directed Amazon’s Something from Nothing and has worked with legendary teachers such as Charna Halpern, Mick Napier and Armando Diaz. He has taught and performed on nearly every major improv stage in North America and Europe, appearing at more than 50 festivals worldwide.

His one-man show Nutso-Facto earned rave reviews from the New York Times and toured across both continents. Christian performed weekly at UCB in New York City for 20 years — with Bucky and Take It Personal, and as a storyteller at The Nights of Our Lives. He was a founding member of the acclaimed ensemble 4Track, known for high-energy shows and uncompromising agreement. He now lives in Los Angeles and is a member of the Groundlings Sunday Company.
